Six bed house in Surbiton

Looks like a fairly substantial town house, though not sure how busy the road might be, it appears to be on St Matthews Avenue which I guess is quiet and not a cut through. I am amazed by what seems to be such a rapid fall in price. I need to check my property bee as I have been downloading Surbiton, but I got the original data off propertysnake. The interesting thing is the Feb, March, April and May drops. Clearly, someone in a hurry or perhaps an agent now doing what they need to do. But this is the sort of pace setting we now need to see. Someone is being quite smart about market realities.

£895,000 (DOWN 25% from £1,200,000)
Surbiton (kt6)

6 bedroom house

Last updated 19 May 2008.
Event History
date event
29 Feb 2008 First day listed (price £1,200,000)
03 Mar 2008 Price changed from £1,200,000 to £1,100,000
04 Apr 2008 Price changed from £1,100,000 to £995,000
19 May 2008 Price changed from £995,000 to £895,000

That said, I have also just found this house,: another six bed on Victoria Avenue at £895, but I don't think this could have been on at £1.2M. Again when I get back to my property bee I'll see if I can find it.

Good find Mike, You are so correct, this is excactly what we need to see. My colleague who is/was very much in the HPC camp reluctantly bought a town house on the new builds in Brighton Road Surbiton.( Near Langley Avenue )

He split from the wife and desperately needed somewhere where he could see his children at the weekends.

He managed to negotiate 20%+ discount from the asking price as there were quite a few for sale and he played them off against each other. They left all the designer furniture as part of the deal.
He knows he should have waited but there are some things more important in life and stability for his children was at the top of his list.
I will not show him this link as this was his price bracket. ohmy.gif and he very much wanted to still be in the game.
