Got a compelling protagonist? Gonna send him on a journey of self discovery? - Maybe some relationship issues, you know enemy's become friends - friends become enemy's - Add in a love interest to give the reader a more fulfilling experience. Oh and don't forget a few tasteful sex scenes to really make the final 200 pages fly by
