If any Brighton residents have an opinion about the value for money or pros and cons of this location of this property I'd appreciate your comments.

reasonable area, bit of a trek to the station (20 mins or so) if you're a commuter. parking would be an absolute nightmare.

Thanks 5lab. I'm thinking about moving to the B&H area so very much appreciate local knowledge. I've been tracking the B&H market and this particular property seemed relatively good value for money, maybe some sense is starting to return to the south coast property market!

Not as far as that from the station; probably only 5-10mins in the early AM. NO parking and at least a year's wait for a permit. Just on the edge of the "tourist zone" so could be a bit noisy in summer. I also have to wonder how they'd define the word "detached"!

Maintenance costs, parking and Yeller Kats must run fast.

Visit the area on a Saturday night.

laugh.gif Got visions now of Yeller Kats sprinting around the area. Been working out how to do it in 5-10 minutes. I think the return journey from the station would be possible on a skateboard at 2am.

The property looks nice, find out if any of the garages are for sale across the road. Prepare yourself for the seagulls. If you do view it let us know what you think of the agents, noticed they have been saying nothing is wrong with the market in the local rag. Their description is a bit bucket inducing, the following;

"The worktops are unusually deep making preparation of those complex dishes just that little easier!"

Thanks for your comments.

I'm not as close to the B&H market as you residents but I'm seeing this property as offering at least some evidence that the first cracks are appearing in prices, I've been tracking B&H prices in this band for about six months and this strikes me as a being a good 10% down on the prices from say last September.

How's that then? To sell anywhere near the asking price, it would have to break the ceiling price on the street.. the highest sale price achieved on the street was the place couple of doors away which sold for 480k in 10/07

Value for money??? Don`t think so..This (like any other hoose in B&H) would have to drop atleast 30% before it could be considered even close to value for money...
