A mate of mine is considering moving to Oz - does anyone know the current state of the market over there? Up/down/stagnating?

Very much depends on the state. Western Australia is still on the up, due to mineral deposits being bought up by the Chinese, though falls of 10% were recorded in January in some of the less salubrious suburbs of Perth. Try following this link:
