has anyone given any thought to reem island in abu dhabi? there are a number of projects being offered, but as this is abu dhabi's first foray into the foreign ownership (or leasehold as it were) it is an unproven market. however, i've read articles in fortune, on cnn and in a number of british newspapers - as well as talking to a number of friends who've spent time in abu dhabi working on various projects - and the view tends to be that abu dhabi is taking off.

relatedly, damac is offering an abu dhabi project called oceanscape, which has received good reviews. can anyone vouch for a damac project? has anyone had problems with them - quality, delivery, etc.

your views please ...

ps - i live in qatar (but wouldn't invest here) and so am familiar with some of the issues in the gulf

I am unfamiliar with this project but am keen to invest in the Middle East. I too believe there is potential in Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Oman, etc. These locations are emulating Dubai and opening up to foreign investment.

I have just started working in Qatar and would be interested to know why you would not invest here.
