Flats are at best long term investments whilst hotels provide immediate income. There are plenty of interesting towns and cities in Bulgaria that provide all year round tourism. There are much better openings, especially to do with spa, hunting, adventure sports etc. The Black Sea and ski resorts are only seasonal and property is becoming too expensive.

I belong to a consortium of like minded people who believe that the way forward in Bulgaria is to invest in a hotel or restaurant in lesser known cities, but which are still close enough to the Black Sea and Ski resorts. I also read something along this line this in Hiday.net - all about Bulgaria.
