It can't be done I'm afraid. What you
could do is ask your broker to sell the shares in your ISA, and ask that these remain as cash inside your stocks and shares ISA. Then you could buy back into the stockmarket using that cash at a point in the future whilst retaining its tax-free ISA status.
The main caveat is that the interest rate of cash in S&S ISAs is terrible (usually 1% or so) and is subject to a 20% tax (taken automatically) and you'd have all the dealing fees involved with selling your shares.
I know it wasn't exactly what you were asking, but it's an option.
