Has anyone traded in Endowment policies lately, I have tried trading a Standard life policy that I have and I dont seem to be able to get more than the surrender value from a couple of companies? This is one that i have had since 1986. I am wondering if the market is flooded after Standard Life floated recently? I got an offer about £400 more about 3 months ago but that seemed quite low but I haved been unable to better it.

Also how does someone get to know what Standard life are likely to payout on an endowment policy , ie what would they have paid out this year on a 25 year policy and how big really are the terminal bonuses, do they release these figures?
