Hi all. smile.gif Very useful site. I'm new on here and have been poking about at investment sites and message boards for a while now while I re-assess how I look after my money. I am looking at buying some gold probably split between Gold Coins I can keep myself and a gold or mining fund of some sort. But what I am wondering is whether to include some platinum in with my physical gold coin collection. I don't have a huge amount to invest so it would probably be a small quantity but I haven't heard very much mentioned about Platinum.

Does anyone have any holdings of platinum? If so where did you buy from?

Would it be a recommened investment?

Any advice welcome

Thanks

Apparently when confidence is low in a fiat currency then platinum isn't worth while, when confidence is high in a fiat currency then platinum is worthy of investment.

EDITED:

Keep in mind i only have a vague idea about metals, there are much better minds than mine on here where precious metals are concerned.
