They must be reffering to the wrong site as it describes the users of HPC as pessimists...... I thought this was the most optimistic site on the planet.

Nice to see them dig out the Krusty quote:

Quote

TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp of Channel 4’s Location, Location, Location has described the site as “sick”.

“There is a website called Housepricecrash and I am their deadliest enemy,” she said earlier this year. “They all rent and have a vested interest and enjoyment in watching others suffer . . . We are not going into freefall unless we panic ourselves into it.”

Didn't know the owner of this site was a homeowner, though

However, the site has attracted the ire of property experts who accuse McLoughlin of profiteering from pessimism.

FAIL:

Who said those people were experts, you'll find the experts were on this site.

Is the quote from krusty actually from 2008 or more likely 2005, I'd post on the comments section of the paper but it seems i'm banned, so much for a free press.

Pessimists or realists...perhaps the reason many that are now flourishing from HPC advice are doing so because they saw the bubble and effectively short sold the property VI's.

200K or 8x national avg wage for a two bedroom flat??? Optimist see's it as a steal, the markets see it as an outright con and are adjusting accordingly.

Who's been more right than wrong of late Kirsty? You or those doom mongers over at HPC?

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”

geoffrey howe summed it up quite nicely.....it's like being savaged by a dead sheep.

Kirsty love, property porn is over......you'll have to start doing real porn to make a living now.
....and by the state of the property market, you'll have to find a niche market....straightforward lesbo action has been covered by all those nice bulgarian ladies you were trying to flog semi-detatched pigsty's to.

try hairy minge dwarf-sex.

the controversial news and discussion website is attracting 50,000 hits a day and revenue of more than £300,000 from advertisers including Sky, Virgin and BT.

I suppose it sounds better than 'from advertisers including Gay Chubby Dating and Flat Stomachs R Us.'

Mr Parry has left a comment:

Quote

I was a poster at HPC. They are good people there. They do not want to see others suffer, contrarily many of us knew for years this boom would be the ruin of the UK and it's people. It is a reality site and is far from 'sick' as Alsop says. She needs to look at her contributory role in peoples fate.

Mr Parry, Bristol, UK

Unfortunately, as did mine, it fell at the first fence and had to be shot...no point in hoping for anything else in the world of betting on horseracing...as I find out everytime I have a crafty flutter!
