Can't remember my member number.....

All that about gloating and missing out on the gains is a lot of crap isn't it?
Or maybe everybody on the forum is really broke and its cheaper here than in the pub.

Never gloated once. Click my user name, view my posts.........

Never taken pleasure in the plight of others.

Maybe people believed you had to get onto the ladder before it was too late and this idea was pushed onto us by the mainstream media.

Lower prices will help everyone in the end.

I'm old and a non-virgin, I can't be a cult member, it's impossible.
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” -C.S. Lewis

Surely house prices at sensible levels benefits everyone. This makes it easier for people to move up the ladder as their next step isn’t so far out of reach.

The only losers in this whole sorry state are the people who over-paid in the last 3 years and the people who saw their home as a bank borrowing money on its increase in value.

House price collapse WILL benefit all in the long term.

While exposure in such an esteemed publication as the Torygraph is of course welcome, when considering how much weight its articles on property carry one must bear in mind that this same paper once interviewed HPC's very own Bruno 'my rectum is my vagina' Powroznik alongside luminaries such as Roger Bootle...

Have been walking the walk, and talking the talk, years before i found hpc
although hpc has put into words what i only believed, and expanded my knowledge, enormously.
and am very happy for hpc to be the biggest cult going, and will welcome all, to this site.

If Cult Website is a typo, then perhaps this should be Phil & Kirsty's new theme tune.

WARNING: The link is not suitable for work.

Everyone's various levels of gloating aside, it's nice to see the Telegraph writing this type of article. They and the FT are the only mainstream paper with any credibility left in their economic reporting. Not saying they haven't had some weird columnists but compared to the Times, Guardian and Indie they've been far more sensible.

And their rugby coverage is far better (but that's easy enough - yes, YOU Stephen Jones, you buffoon).
