One nice 4 bed bungalow in Frinton gone for £137,000. Colcheter house (lot 3) struggling to get to £125K.

Not quite a bargain, but it's a sign that the owners are not setting silly reserves. Let's hope that lasts.

Lot 4 had an AST at £7,500. Sold at 93,000. A yield of 8.1%. We're still not at value prices yet I'm afraid. Good to see Lot 5 attracted no bidders.

Strettons auction appeared to have investors buying with a similar yield possible. 8% seems too low to be considered a good investment especially on second hand houses maybe requiring work.

And £7,500 is a high rent for a two bed maisonette in Clacton (I suspect).

I pay considerably less for a house in Ipswich.

The Rendlesham auction has just got a £350K bid! But then going up in twos. Must have sunk a bit before getting an opening bid.
