It's not really a shithole but paying nearly 900k to live in a space like this would drive anyone to drink, as we can see in the kitchen.

This rental had me in stitches. Only 900 pcm. It'll cost you the best part of 300 pcm for your season ticket on the train to London on top of that. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but for that kind of money, I want a wardrobe.

I know London is expensive, and this is not exactly a sh*t hole but seems VERY VERY expensive - also, is this really a two bed flat?

I wonder if anyone will be suckered into buying it?

Good grief, it's a fairly modern building. From the interior pics I assumed that had been shoehorned into some sort of attic in a very old structure.

It's an absolute mess. You have to work really hard to design a building that ugly, impractical, and cluttered. A utilitarian design that has poor utility.

Newly refurbished? The nasty kitchen cabinets and kitchen surfaces don't even match. And WTF is that angled window in the second picture?

The crap 'kitchen' floor tiles, cabinets and beige carpet throughout shout of a BTL-er trying to sell up and leave the market.

I like the bit that says:

  • Modern Bathroom
  • No Chain
Gotta love the fake leaded lights in the neighbouring flat. :D

"It's a London Thing"... WTF does an empty headed EA slogan like that mean? Perhaps the insane price.

It's an ex-Council flat and right opposite Holloway Prison, which is why it's cheap. Nearby is this:
http://www.rightmove...y-33911419.html

I used to live about 5 minutes walk from there (in a top floor duplex on a quieter back street, sold in early 2007...). In its favour are easy access to Islington and Camden and a zone 2 tube station. Against are Holloway and Camden Road which are both very busy at all hours. Not forgetting the ludicrous design.

The floorplan is full of wasted space. I just don't get the master bedroom at all. Surely the bathroom would have been better in that extra bedroom space than at the other end of the flat? It's 280k, for an ex LA flat in a not particularly great place, perfect really as both overpriced and sh*t.
Tell me all about it and start at the end.

Mental. If I had to do a "Price is Right" guess, without knowing what it was really valued at, I'd say 350k?

When you see stuff like this, you can't help but think London housing is at the edge of an absolutely enormous precipice. Half a million pounds for a very low spec small 2 bedroom flat? How much do you need to earn to be realistically able to buy this... a couple earning 100K per year plus? I would be expecting a lot more for that much cash, earning that amount of money.
There are only 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary, and those who don't.

I'd have gone 250k, and even then only because of the postcode.

I can't even believe that they can try to describe this as 'high spec'. Everything looks low spec and a few years old, right down to the brown carpet that they couldn't even be bothered to clean/hoover before taking the photos.

This would be unsellable at virtually any price outside of London.

True, but if I were a rich Greek with lots of dosh in Euros I think I'd want to park them somewhere outside the Eurozone for a while. Which probably explains these:

http://www.bezierlon...ability2bed.php

Over a million quid for a new 2 bed flat. It's an ugly building and it's right next to the Old St roundabout, which is hardly W4.
