When you look at the numbers you find that the candidate will be chosen by the 300 members of the constituency party. Since it is a safe seat, these 300 are effectively choosing the MP. Thus there is a strategy. Get a bunch of mates to join the party and vote yourself a candidate that shares none of the values of the old members. A simple hijacking.

I suspect this is what already happens. Those 300 will be members of both parties. They do so in order to ensure they choose the MP no matter who wins.

I would now join anyone who offers a real alternative. Labour nowhere near that and i don't think i could, in good conscience, give them money whilst the usual suspects are till there. I just cpuldn't.

It would take a lot for me to ever vote for Labour.

They did nothing to prevent house prices from blowing up to the levels they are at now. I blame them for my current living situation - crap, overpriced rented accommodation.

Theyre all fascists to some degree. The unfortunate fact is that people in this country lack the vision or will to vote outside of the Liblabcon box. Its pathetic, but thats the way it is. Must vote labour or the tories will get in. Must vote tory or labour will get in. Its absurd given the current non-existent differences between them, i know. The media, politicians, academia have pretty much closed any avenue for a new political force to emerge, thats why I think its best to steer the current parties in a more positive direction.
