More than half a million Apple computers have been infected with the Flashback Trojan, according to a Russian anti-virus firm.
An investigation by Dr Web suggests that about 600,000 Macs have installed the malware - potentially allowing them to be hijacked and used as a "botnet".

Perhaps Dr Web could comment on how he knows the download figure to Macs is 600,000?
Even then, the download figure is not proof that a system has been hijacked.
These should not be used a a definitive answer to any posts I attempt to answer.

I assume that they probably count all safari hits as mac, it's fairly easy to detect browsers using javascript.
