I'm with the National Trust, the countryside, in particular the national parks shouldn't be built on. In fact, all current buildings in national parks should be demolished and replaced by flower meadows. As for NIMBYs, if their area is so precious, what are they doing spoiling it with their smelly houses? Knock them all down I say.

What property do you own?
We've got a three-bedroom flat in Bloomsbury we bought back in 1988, and a three-bedroom villa in the south of Spain we bought 11 years ago. I'm content with our flat – we've never thought about moving or climbing up the property ladder because I feel a home is somewhere to live, not something to make money from. We do let our villa to holidaymakers when we're not there, which I know is a very capitalist thing to do, but it makes me feel better. After all, when it's lying empty I just feel guilty about wasting it. We only go there ourselves for a couple of months each year.

Ham and cheese pasty this morning, up 5p to £1.05, she nearly charged me a quid. But having not been in ages I'd got correct change out anyhow in anticipation.
Greggs is a luxury for minimum wage workers, one that could quite easily be cut back on, and often is.

Initially 'Unemployed Youth'
Then 'Formerly Unemployed Youth'
Then 'Unemployed Again Youth'
Hopefully soon to be 'Employed Again Youth' and not long after that I'll be eligible for working tax credits, if not I'll at least get adult rate dole and maybe car insurance will be potentially affordable!

The big political story of the night seems to be that George Galloway is on his way to beating Labour in the Bradford West byelection.
