Laughable, the Bankrupt of England want to be the only issuer of fake money, they wouldn't know what real money or worth was if it hit them in the face.

The Bank of England has banned a gift stop selling novelty tissues which look like £10 and £50 notes – in case people try to pass them off as real money.
"Asians make things and sell them to Americans, who borrow money from their suppliers (on the inflated value of their houses) in order to continue living beyond their means. Asians take their profits and either relend them to Americans...or use them to buy more productive capacity, in America and elsewhere.

For those who wonder where this trend will lead, we offer a guess: The average American will be left with a shoeshine kit and instructions on how to say 'please' and 'thank you' in Chinese...."

They must be very afraid of their crumbling monopoly if they go after tissue sellers...

I have a wad of these.

Their value will go up as they can't print them no more!

You can buy them at gift shops - I believe the gift shop in Port Solent (under the chinese restaurant) may still sell them.

I would've thought toilet tissue with the design might make them twitch a bit more

I guess we'll just have to wipe our backsides with mortgage-backed securities from now on.

The BoE is just getting twitchy about the currency becoming indistinguishable from tissues. Perhaps Kleenex should send a cease and desist letter to the BoE for producing money that cannot be distinguished from bog roll?

Indeed.

Not available anymore - obviously there has been a run on the fake money printed by the BoE novelty tissue company

Mervyn was worried they might have paid his pension in them because it's growing so large due to the inflation he ignores.
If you say "democorruptcy" quickly, it sounds a bit like "democracy". In a "democracy" people vote for politicians who represent their interests. In the UK's "democorruptcy" people can only vote for expense fiddling thieving MPs who are in the hip pocket of big business and the finance sector.

The Funding for Lending Scheme (FLS) is stealing from savers to make them pay for crimes by bankers. Via lower interest on savings, all the bank fines for PPI, LIBOR and interest rates swaps are now being paid by savers so that bankers can keep pocketing bonuses.

"We need to make a really big change: from an economy built on debt to an economy built on savings" - David Camoron Jan 2009
"Printing money is the last resort of desperate governments when all other policies have failed" - George Osborne Jan 2009
- So what do Camoron & Osborne do? Print money and leave interest rates at 0.5% when inflation is over 5%

If it is asserted that civilization is a real advance in the condition of man -- and I think that it is, though only the wise improve their advantages -- it must be shown that it has produced better dwellings without making them more costly; and the cost of a thing is the amount of what I will call life which is required to be exchanged for it, immediately or in the long run.

Did you recognise the two robbers in my avatar? Clue: One got a knighthood and inflation linked pension, the other a 150 year prison sentence.

People pay £90 for a new £50 note on eBay? No wonder I've been going wrong all my life with money, it all makes perfect sense to me now... :)

So the value of these tissues is going to skyrocket, now that Merv has restricted the tissue money supply. Posted Image
