This morning this dropped into my inbox from Rightmove Overseas
Invest from 20,000GBP - fixed returns of up to 191 per cent
Planning permission is expected by the Development Company in 2012 or soon afterwards. Once planning permission is achieved, the Development Company is offering a fixed credit return of R$97 per m2 for the purchase of any residential building plot or a cash return of R$71 per m2 once plot sales commence to the public. For a limited period investors opting for the Cash Return can benefit from a higher cash return of up to R$97 per m2. For more details please contact Landcorp International. The length of time to realise your investment is dependent on which exit option you choose (a building plot or cash) and could take several years as the cash option is dependent on real-estate sales. All land purchases are in Brazilian Reais. The amount of land you will receive is dependent on the exchange rate at the time of completion. This offer is not available directly or indirectly for US, Canadian or Brazilian tax residents. Landcorp International is not involved in the investment scheme or the development of the land and only acts as an introducer to pre-development land opportunities.
Good luck, is all I can say!

The oldest scam in the world. Buy a piece of land cheaply because it has zero chance of ever obtaining planning permission and sell it promising that it will obtain planning permission and thus rise in value.
