The political triumph of the American Right has been to advance relentlessly the economic interests of the country's richest people, while emphasising a swath of moral, social and foreign policy issues that motivate and certainly distract middle-class and poor voters.

Can I check? Stocks are basically going up as a short-term inflation hedge against more US printing? FFS...

Yup - I have recently been converting my cash pile to shares with high dividends, good cover, low debt.
Why get 1% when you can get 4-6% from decent solvent UK companies.
