The guy hasn't been heard of for a couple of days now and his car had been parked for about a day before it was found.

I reckon there's a strong chance he's offed him self. Okay, he's a coward and dosn't sem the type to do it but I think it's looking increasingly like he's no longer alive.

Why?
Because the Northumbrian police can't find him?
They are probably cross about the distraction from all their normal activities of "ringing" stolen cars.
More seriously, you might be right, but I wouldn't be sure just yet.

+1. He seems much more intelligent than he looks. Sadly, probably more intelligent than the combined resources of Northumbria Police. If he has offed himself, the smell will soon be of noxious enough proportions to attract even them!

Yep, he's an ex-bouncer with drug trade connections. I reckon he'll be getting cars, etc. supplied by someone else with a grudge against the police, who wants to see him keep going for a bit longer.

Okay, he's a coward

He's provoked an organisation licenced to subdue by whatever means. He's told them he intends to fight to the bitter end, thus excusing any method used to bring him under control. He has declared himself a "maniac" guaranteeing police exclusive access.

Given the above, there is no limit to the violence police could mete out. They could already have him in custody, paralysed from the neck down, while they take turns stubbing fags out on his face. Nobody would know.

You could condemn his actions, and you'd be right. But don't imagine for a second he's worried about his own safety.

Not caring whether you live or die isn't the only thing that marks someone as brave.

This is a bloke who beats up women (and his own kid, if you believe the reports), who shoots unarmed people without warning and who is now running from the cops rather than standing and fighting. He's a person who is clearly so "brave" that he only picks the soft targets that offer a virtual certainty of success with little risk to him self.

Also, it's probably the case that he hasn't got the balls to blow his own brains out and will force the police to do it for him

A coward by any measure of the word.

No, not a coward. Complete and utter scum yes, but coward, no. Why on earth would he deliberately go after more dangerous targets? Not putting yourself at pointless risk isn't cowardly. You're not brave by standing up to dangers that you can't avoid. You're not cowardly by avoiding dangers that there's no reason to face. So far he's done nothing to demonstrate either bravery or cowardice, just vileness.

He is a coward - without any question about it. There is pretty much zero chance that he's going to get away or get out if this alive - and a pretty small chance that he's going to manage to kill another copper. So why not just front up to the cops and get the enevitable over with?

To reiterate;

He's a big scary looking bloke who beats up women and children, people who are powerless against him - coward!

He shoots unarmed people through windows without warning, people who are powerless against him - coward!

He shoots unarmed coppers without warning, people who are powerless against him - coward!

He's (allegedly) posted something on FB about how fun it is to beat the crap out of worthless chavs in the bars he worked in - coward!

Not once in all of the above has he ever put him self in a violent situation where the violence was ever likely to be meted out against him. He's probably never been anywhere near a fair fight.

Sorry, he's just a pathetic coward. I don't care which ever way you try to put it - he just is. Vile scum as well but basically a coward

None of that is cowardly, it's vile scum. Twisting the definitions of words in this way is something the press likes to do in order to come up with something derogatory to say but it doesn't make it accurate. So what if he's never been in a fair fight? Then you can't judge what his reaction to one would be. If he collapses at the first sign of one and starts gibbering and begging for mercy and isn't being faced with overwhelming force then he'll have demonstrated cowardly behaviour. It's like calling victims brave for simply being victims. Sounds good but isn't accurate.

You can't be cowardly unless you're in a situation where bravery is also an option, and vice-versa. Just because someone is scum doesn't make it accurate to hang every derogatory term you can think of on them. The world's full of people who'll happily pick on the weak and helpless but will try to take down the strong and powerful if they get in their way. Are they cowards?

Of course he's a coward. He specificlly plans his violence so as to avoid risk to him. Beating up women and kids is cowardly behaviour - don't try and deny it, it just is. Sneaking up on someone and shooting them is cowardly.

He hasn't got the balls to kill him self and will let the cops do it instead. There's virtually no chance he's going to get near another cop to kill them so why not just end it? Because he's a coward.

Sorry mate, he's a coward.

Not too long ago you were defending Delroy Smellie for hitting women.

So? The bird copped a minor slap bacause she was obstructing an officer, as would anyone. She probably got a lesser slap than would have a bloke.

Why the hell would he plan it to risk himself? Sneaking up on someone and shooting them is not cowardly. Would you call an army sniper a coward? Same thing - safest way to do what you want to do. The fact that what you want to do is thoroughly vile and reprehensible is neither here nor there. The definition of cowardly is not "low-risk scum-like behaviour". Cowardly is running from dangers that you should be able to overcome. It is NOT avoiding being in those situations in the first place if there's no sensible reason to be in them. Motivation for actions is irrelevent.

He hasn't got the balls to kill him self and will let the cops do it instead. There's virtually no chance he's going to get near another cop to kill them so why not just end it? Because he's a coward.

Sorry mate, he's a coward.

Maybe he thinks he does have a chance. Giving up if you don't think the odds against you are overwhelming is cowardly if he didn't do it because he'd seen a bit of sense instead.
