Hardly surprising in the current climate, Hitwise today confirmed that in the last 12 months there have been 44% more searches for the term "house price crash", whilst at the same time there's been 20% less searches for "house prices".
Housepricecrash.co.uk has directly increased its' traffic by a similar amount - 43%, but who are these people so interested in the demise of the Great British property price?
Well the largest group of visitors to the site are the affluent "Urban Intelligence" (young professional city dwellers) and "Symbols of Success" (the richest and most financially successful Mosaic group).
The two most significant groups increasing their share in the last year are "Suburban Comfort" and "Happy Families" – as the names suggest, they are both stable ‘middle class’ groups that are well represented on the site.
