Lords vote against Sunak's Rwanda bill
winkie replied to Bruce Banner's topic in House prices and the economy
Everything about it not happy with, doesn't sit right with me.....the man has OCD, this plan is all about him and sticking to what he said he would do, not losing face.....not a good legacy to have be renowned for, few people on a plane is not going to cure the problem...so many other ways to deal with it. -
You don't have to be rude not at all nonsense......low turnout, those that didn't know enough about it or not bothered didn't bother to vote....like I said we were told many times that remain would win, more of a reason not to vote when told that if busy at the time.......like labour will win, no they won't win if people don't vote......

Not a 51% 49%......however it is done, if done will have to be done differently......maybe one vote, then a second if not 10% differential......so many better and fairer ways could have been done.....got to get the deals with the EU first or won't know what will be voting for. Ireland got two votes.

Sunak now most unpopular PM since 1979

Shadow of former self. -
A lot of people were deluded over Brexit, much confusion, different people wanted different things, most got none of it, many didn't bother to vote low turnout because happy with status quo, they were also told remain would easily win.......certain big powers would love to break up the EU.....divide and rule or conquer.....plan?

European islanders not happy with mass tourism, increasing price of property, removing property from the market Airbnb, noise and drunkenness?....since we are now the low hanging fruit, easier to restrict access to non EU members? https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-68865755 https://www.euronews.com/travel/2024/03/15/go-fcking-home-the-european-cities-where-locals-are-fighting-back-against-overtourism -

Yes which is a good thing, plenty that live in England Scotland and Wales who can are applying for an Irish passport that gives more freedom to move. -
As if those that got Brexit care about the people and their loss of freedoms and choices.....more immigration apparently the right immigration, more control over us.....big firms love it that they can now charge more for roaming a benefit to them of Brexit, many firms benefited from it, red tape and bureaucracy creates well paid jobs .....
