Because they couldn't prove the debt ! Asked them repeatedly to prove debt as judge would not take kindly to scamsters loading additional charges on debt, sent email asking to prove debt 16 times, no reply ever. So thought that I was probably on some mortgage blacklist for getting away with an alleged shortfall of 52k and Checked credit history recently no charge or entries, relating to old mortgage. Requested loan this week of 75k to buy land, told that they would check credit, got offer today of 75k. I maintain and your links prove it that there was no minimum wage until 1997. forget about the wage councils they only operated with specific industries and were not nationally binding except within their own industry, and most wage councils were for skilled workers, an electrician in London was paid the same as an electrician in Manchester except for London Weighting. National Minimum wages as brought in by Noo Labour do not make that distinction, the minimum wage is the lowest that a UK Worker can be paid, even though some organisations seem to get away with paying lower. And one things is for sure, the lenders have seen fit to step down on the brokers wild salary figures, last year the average salary according to mortgage applications was 72k, that when the real average salry is nearing 24.5k no wonder house prices are three times what they were, building socs and banks think that salaries have risen to 3 times what they actually are.
