  1. This is such a brilliant addition, the estate agents will not like it at all! 😀 I have seen many of these type of listings in the past, so will be looking out for them carefully now. Many thanks for all your hard work on this. Can't believe only 1% of users pay. What a tight lot, as it is such a small amount. Well worth it imo.
  2. Good point, the release of their next few figures will be interesting. As we know, sentiment is so important in the housing market, so the fact there are so many articles similar to this one will have a big effect on sentiment.
  3. Too true. Ridiculous how house prices going up are celebrated in this country by MSM, whilst any sign of them going down is "grim". No one celebrates food prices going up! 🙄
  4. I noticed Persimmon have recently started putting out ads on the radio, that they will part exchange your property if you buy one of their new homes. Yesterday, I also saw a poster had been put at the entrance of one of their current developements, advertising their part exchange scheme.
  5. The "bad" news keeps on coming from MSM. 😉 https://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/other/house-prices-tumble-and-new-build-home-numbers-halve-as-fresh-misery-grips-market/ar-AA186IqG?ocid=mailsignout&pc=U591&cvid=3a09956d223f42e5b72df3d8255c3a6d&ei=24
  6. Thanks for that. A great way to explain in simple, rememberable terms, a difficult concept. ☺️
  7. Thanks for the update Count. Looking like a good start to HPC for 2023.
  8. I so feel for you Mike. In this situation you feel so helpless (as well as stressed and exhausted!). I hope your mother now gets the correct treatment she needs and can get home soon.
  9. I heard the news headline "house prices have increased 42% in York" on lbc news a couple of mornings ago too, so am not surprised the bbc have taken this on too. 🥱
  10. 😮 I just did a search for listings added in 24 hours and it came up with 84! (South Wales area). Never seen that many before, it is on average 4-8. On looking at them, most are old listings with a small price reduction, along with a few new lsitings that are way overpriced.
  11. I have a monthly subscription for Property Log and for the small sum I pay, it is so worth it, and I thank you for all your hard work on this. I feel the tool is more important than ever recently because of all the tricks the desperate estate agents are trying on during the current problem market, eg. when a property was listed as sold many months ago, they try and make it look like a new listing, if the sale collapses. This tool not only enables me to see the original date it went to market, but if they have pushed the price up since the sale has collapsed. Last summer, this price increase after a failed sale, was frequently happening, but I rarely see it now. I have even seen some agents re-list all their stock, to make them all look like new listings. I bet any agents aware of this tool hate it!
  12. so a fall of 30% is the "worse case scenario". They can't help themselves sound like a decent fall in house prices is all doom and gloom, which as we know, it certainly isn't for those wanting to buy.
  13. That's interesting. LOL, how time flies when you are having fun. It will be interesting to see if this coming "crash" will beat the 2007 one now.
  14. So we can now guess that both parties still favour a continual HPI, but its doubtfull with the current economic conditions, they will be able to see this. I wonder which of the two party's policies are likely to slow down an HPC the most though?
  15. No he didn't, but she had started by saying that the extra allowance for Stamp Duty just introduced would be taken away again, because it mainly benefited the rich. But he didn't question her, as to any figures on this at all. So I wonder how much that would actually save? Surely it wouldn't be enough to finance a State Backed Mortgage Scheme?
