The Masked Tulip
I was in the Vale of Glamorgan area last week and was amazed to see so many Purple Bricks signs. Interesting. We are now in stagflation - prices are going to rise for day to day living and, in time, interest rates will rise. Then we will see who is wearing any shorts when the tide goes out. Clarky Cat
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/lifestyle/were-most-expensive-houses-sold-13304818 Well, May being a "Spring bounce" month and all, the most expensive house sold in Swansea was apparently £545,000 There are 154 houses listed on Zoopla for over £550,000 within 5 miles of Swansea. How long can the stand-off last?

How long can the stand-off last? They're waiting for the London exodus.........all those who sold up and decided to "retire" with their millions from the sale of their London property. Maybe some will strike it lucky.......... thirdwave
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/local-news/plans-transform-historic-swansea-pub-13845043 Pub made famous by Sir G Sobers being converted into a 46 bed HMO. There is a lot of local opposition to the plan but the council seems inclined to approve it at the meeting next week. Could prove to be yet another nail in the coffin of the local community. TBH, it is a vicious cycle whereby swelling student numbers are displacing local residents leading to further business closures-IMO Brynmill and Uplands have gone into irrevocable decline as residential areas with St Thomas and Port Tenant following suit since the opening of the Bay Campus
