There seems to be a real trench warfare going on between optimists (usually characterised by those owning and house and hoping for price rises) and pessimists (usually characterised by those for whom property remains unaffordable or undesirable for whatever reason). You only have to look at the venom on sites like "housepricecrash". After all, it's just a house.
