MattW
'kinell, that is pricey! House isn't in perfect condition either. Look at that cupboard next to the bath. It's coming away from the wall. £2,000 a year council tax on a 3 bedroomed house? Someone please pass me the smelling salts.
Starla
This drab two bedroom bungalow is a snip at £550K. The agent says it's in need of complete modernisation throughout, I say it's in need of a bulldozer. A little optimistic or a cracking investment opportunity? You decide... My link I'm wondering if it's the additional house on the grounds, in Photo #5, that has upped the price considerably.

Chuffy Chuffnell
What a sh!t property! It's the sort of thing that should be sold by auction for about 50k. Edited March 29, 2012 by Chuffy Chuffnell
rented
A not especially overpriced house for the location at £120k but.... When is a small 2nd bedroom not really a bedroom at all?
MattW
^ Essentially a one bedroomed house. That 2nd bedroom is just a store room. The vendors could have made a much more spacious bathroom with a separate shower cubicle for that bit of 'wow factor'. But oh no - in Britain we put value on property on 'how many bedrooms a home has' rather than use of space. I think this one has been marketed once or twice in the last year or two. Someone pass the smelling salts - this modest family home is on for a staggering £175k! Norwich £175k+ This dated house with electric warm air heating is quite close to the University of East Anglia and is in close proximity to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals, plus research centres. The vendor is probably using that to justify the high price.

I wouldn't part with £30k for that. What the fvck is wrong with the UK FFS!!!

Starla
I've just re-vistited the toilet. No not like that, Funky Gibbons 2012 winning entry. It's still for sale. It's still £290k. It deserves a bump. http://www.foxtons.co.uk/search?property_id=798458&search_form=map&search_type=SS&submit_type=search
MattW
^ At £290k I am not surprised. A lot of money for an open plan WC and shower room. I've just spotted this sad looking maisonette. Apart from a splash of white paint and mandatory double glazing, it seems that little has changed since its construction in the early 1960s. The kitchen looks original with the belfast sink. No central heating either. Asking price is £97,500 which no doubt the Estate Agent will try to justify with it's central location. No carpets - although these may have been removed prior to marketing. Norwich NR2, £97,

Is it even legal to be able to cr@p without a door to keep it all in? Seem to remember you have to have two closin doors between that and the food area.....? Bland Unsight
This rental had me in stitches. Only £900 pcm. It'll cost you the best part of £300 pcm for your season ticket on the train to London on top of that. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but for that kind of money, I want a wardrobe. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-to-rent/property-22940375.html Check the bedrooms:
