Those of you who will be near a TV this lunch time (Tuesday 2nd September) might be interested to flick over to Sky News at about twenty to two for an article about today's Stamp Duty announcement. Housepricecrash.co.uk will be represented, as ever, by our very own man in the media, Financial Planner.

Financial Planner will also be making an appearance on tonight's Channel 5 News at 5pm.

If you missed the Sky item you can view it online or download it from the HPC server: Afternoon Live with Kay Burley.
The Channel 5 package is also available from the HPC server: Channel 5 News

The close of the interview "Don't touch property with a barge pole" was strong and simple. I thought the whole interview (aired at 13:44 - 13:49) came across much better than previous attempts.

For anyone with no particular interest of the HPC the points made were simple, clear and compelling. Having this beamed into millions of homes on a leading channel is significant.

Good interview, liked the final comment about not touching property with a bargepole, houses to fall for the next two years, probably more. Nice round-up.

Middle of interview about Brown being the worst Chancellor for a 100 years could have been misinterpreted as being anti Labour, which potentially could alienate a sizeable section of the audience, although it does need to be said repeatedly on the Media that Brown has been a disaster as Chancellor - difficult for luvvies to get their heads around that though.
The success or failure of your deeds does not add up to the sum of your life. Your spirit cannot be weighed. Judge yourself by the intention of your actions and by the strength you faced the challenges that have stood in your way.

The people closest to you have been trying to tell you that you have made a difference. That you did change things for the better. The Universe is vast and we are so small. There is really only one thing that we can ever truly control - whether we are good or evil.

The political triumph of the American Right has been to advance relentlessly the economic interests of the country's richest people, while emphasising a swath of moral, social and foreign policy issues that motivate and certainly distract middle-class and poor voters.

Just seen FP/JD on Sky. Fantastic stuff! He demolished Browns record as chancellor and his latest over-hyped and feeble housing proposals. Finished by stating the housing market is collapsing and prices will fall for at least 2 years and probably 3 or 4 and advised "Don't touch property with a bargepole"

Kay Burley was left looking white-faced and terrified by the sheer honesty of it all

FP,

Superb performance,

'don't touch property with a barge pole', and 'GB been the worst financial manager for 100 years'

Can it get any better?

FP deserves to be seen more, together with others who share his views, the message has to get through that this is not a minor blip, this will be a very serious period for property investors, ESPECIALLY FTB, DO NOT buy at the current time.

But how safe will our savings be?

RiG
redwine (French estate agent?) stated on 28/03/2011, that,
'Guret is the capital of Limousin' , Oh no it's not, the only capital of Limousin is Limoges, 100% fact.

I hated the labour government with such passion, for what they have done to our younger generations,
How I wish that the younger generations had hated them with the same passion!

They used the "Don't touch property with a barge-pole" comment as part of the 2 O'Clock headlines so let's hope they continue that throughout the day.

Reminds me of ENRON when the Directors were advising staff and the public to buy and manipulating the figures whilst they were bailing out. Its a bit like what the Property Developers are doing now, with Government Propaganda they are trying to entice the First Time Buyers in too carry the CAN while they BAIL OUT before the BIGGEST PROPERTY CRASH in history.

Basically all the Government has done really is propping up the Titanic by using BUCKETS instead of Tea Cups to stop the Boat Sinking. The Developers are jumping in the Life Boats whilst First Time Buyers are being left on board with the Government delaying the invitable SINKING.

Very well put!! :P :P
What the media today are still not telling us in full - for some reason the lid is being kept on the whole story:
HERE IN THE UK: THE UK SUB-PRIME CATASTROPHE - IT IS NOT ONLY IN AMERICA!! THE UK LIAR LOAN INDUSTRY - Source of FICTITIOUS "MONEY", and the principle driver of the House "Price" Pyramid/Ponzi Scam & Bubble, the "Credit Crunch" - and an unacknowledged major part of and cause of the ensuing Worldwide Financial Crash.
---------------------
The following was reported in a superb documentary in late 2003 - This is now nearly 10 years ago!! Since then little has been done here in the UK to dig down deep on this vast elephant in the room: Why? If you're a serious journalist - here's your story - start investigating - it is the biggest financial scandal of all time:

THE ARTICLES BELOW ARE FROM AS FAR BACK AS 2003!!

Mortgage customers 'urged to lie' - All this was way back in 2003 by the way!!
Housebuyers are being encouraged to break the law in order to obtain huge mortgages, the BBC has discovered. Brokers, and even banking staff, have been telling buyers to lie about their incomes to get bigger and bigger loans. And these underhand tactics could also be the reason why house prices have gone on rising for so long.

"Could you believe that a bank would invite customers to defraud it? It may sound incredible, but that is what some of Britain's biggest mortgage lenders have in effect been doing."

The BBC Money Programme uncovers massive mortgage fraud [2003!]: BBC TWO's The Money Programme has revealed a huge mortgage fraud with brokers from some of Britain's biggest estate agents and financial advice groups advising customers to break the law and lie about their incomes to get massively bigger mortgages. And it shows how the illicit cash raised by this method has been pouring into the housing market, boosting prices and leaving many people risking financial ruin.

Anyone just notice Kay Burley refer to JD by his HPC handle? Obviously she reads the forums then - give us a wave Kay ;)
"When you won, you divided the profits amongst you, and when you lost, you charged it to the bank... You are a den of vipers and thieves."

- Andrew Jackson President of the US, 1829-1837 correctly noting that bankers are a bunch of *****.

"Men, it has been well said, go mad in crowds and only come to their senses slowly and one by one."

- Charles MacKay, 1856.
