Topher Bear
I watched the video this morning (now I'm on broadband, can do things like that!) Interesting to see quite how annoyed Kirstie got over it all, must have touched a nerve for some reason! My response is that the website wasn't created so two couples could go on a round the world trip at the expense of others! thats just silly. the website was produced because it was a topic that many people wanted to talk about and those who felt a property crash was on its way had no real central way of talking about it, so good on you HPC for giving us this opportunity. As for the idea that a website could affect a property Price crash, is also absurd. To think that the mountains of media coverage of house price indeces, comments by estate agents, surveyors etc. etc. would all be ignored because of a handful of "retrobates" mouthing off on a website, is quite impossible to believe. With 10,000 hits a day, that is less than 0.1% of the population of this country, I don't think it will have much of an impact. However she is right on one thing. If only I could engineer a House Price Crash....I would. Why? Reason number 1: personal gain, Reason number 2: The longer it goes on, the worse the ultimate fall out, so it is better for all to get it out of the way as soon as possible so that normal service can be resumed. So I don't think that it is irrisponsable to try and get it to crash at all, in the long term it is better...it would have been better had it happened back in 2000 with the stock market, it would have been smaller then, now it will be Mega Huge! The alternative is even more frightening with a return to a fuedal Britain, with the haves and have nots (although we are pretty much there already we have people who look after our children, people to clean our houses, people to do our shopping, etc. etc. and more and more those people doing these paid jobs, use that money on rent, going straight back to the pockets of those they work for!) Dilemma
Yes her comments were somewhat slanderous. Is there a case for suing her for defamation of character? Imagine the publicity?
gilf
While that is true, I think 2 minutes of digging on here would result in a ton of evidence of slander against her.
