The house was last bought in Feb 03 for £100000. The owners had it for 3 years before putting it on the market in Jan 06 for £239950. Work was done and some remortgaging occurred during this period. They then gradually reduced down to £194950 over the next year until early 07 when they seem to have gotten into real difficulties. Came up for sale with most of the local agents during 07. Late 07 seems to be when it was repossessed. Then chipped away at the price during 08 -£169950, £164950, £154950, £149950, £134950, in a couple of other auctions before and now with a guide price of £90000. I'm very interested to see whether they can sell it this time. Under £100000 would take us back to less than 2002 prices. Up to £140000 would be 2003 prices. As a comparable the almost identical next door semi is still up for sale today at £225000, reduced by £10000 a few days ago, having been up for sale since Jan 08. Here are the details for the first house 2 Clifton Avenue Here are the details for the second house 4 Clifton Avenue I think if they had put it up for under £200000 in 06 it probably would have been sold.
