Well they made it all the way to the top now.

Picked up a copy of Viz (yes I know, I also remember when it was only sold in Virgin record stores) and they have their own strip cartoon, real fame, the Simpson next.

They move council renters to the moon freeing up homes for......

A national publication has identified them as the faces that lead to nasty social issue.

what on earth are you on about

Viz is a comic cartoon magazine. It's got a new character that calls himself "happy guy" in antithesis to the fact he is rarely happy, to try and make it look like he is taking things in his stride while he trolls about stuff that riles him.

The latest version of Location Location Location is a right con.

An hour-long rehash of years-old footage, with a few minutes of new material tagged on the end to catch up with the people they "helped" back in the day.

Wonder what they get paid for this ?

Phil and Kirsty are indeed the very public face of the very evil house price bubble. They would be wise to go to ground in the hope the public forgets about them and their major role in bubble cheerleading. And the BBC and Channel 4 need to appreciate the new zeitgeist and consign all property porn shows to history.

Evil lol get a life !

i am sure they do not care what a few people think of them they have money on the bank.  Property shows will be here to stay they are cheap to produce.

When I first saw the title of this thread I thought they'd made a porn film.

Can't see that ever coming off (ooer missus). The very idea will keep most guys flacid I guess.

Phil and Kirsty were telling folk to mortgage to the hilt on TV, whatever you have to do, for a decade up until the mortgage banks went bust. That event also bankrupted Phil as well. His firm went under owning millions and he himself was being chased around by 'Can't pay, we'll take it away' type characters. That is why he disappeared off to Australia for similar TV shows over there while their boom was still steaming ahead.

Interesting that these two should be telling folk to mortgage to the hilt all the way up to the mortgage bank collapse. Kirsty is from the Allsop family. One of the oldest, land owning aristocratic families in the country. She became a property expert when her grandmother gifted her a two bedroom flat in one of the smarter Clapham postcodes for her 19th Birthday. Phil is not as aristocratic as Kirstie but is 'old money', landed family. The UK property market is always just a bit of a game for them, they genuinely wouldn't understand any problem with the last two decades of UK property bubbles. They probably would look at a Viz satire with complete confusion and discombobulation.

Agree with that, but the narrative will change.

'Escape to the Country' will become 'Escape with your shirt'

'Homes under the Hammer' will become 'Landlords under the Hammersmith Flyover'.

I don't understand why the people on LLL need Krusty and Shill's help and advice to find a house.

Surely if you want to buy a house, you can just look at the available houses within your parameters of budget, size, location etc. and find the one that best suits you? Having a couple of TV personalities putting in cheeky offers of £50 under asking just seems like needless complication.

Perhaps they like being on TV - not something I would enjoy to be honest.

It sends a message. The actual content is secondary

I know someone who was on one of those shows - the sale was actually completed before the TV people even turned up. When they were being shown around the "new" house it already had some of their furniture in it!

They arent going to risk wasting time and money filming someone if the sale might be in risk of falling through or being outbid.

Imagine if someone did an honest TV program about what it's like to try and buy a house:

The agent doesnt bother to turn up.
You trudge through the rain to see an alternative house.
That seller changes their mind about selling.
You finally put in an offer - above asking price.
You get outbid by a landlord - the same guy who is getting rich from your current rental.
The TV crew inform you that you wont be getting paid for the TV appearance because you didnt manage to buy a house.

Latest rerun they helped a guy who hoped for a h pc change his mind from a 3 bed flat in blackheath village and buy 3 bed rabbit hutch in sevenoak s for 600k.

A'll ended happily though it's now worth 675k.

More than he earned at his day job after tax  in canary wharf id wager.

The reasons do these reruns are clear. Peddle the message can't go wrong with bricks n mortar.

You're right on the money there. I caught the end by accident and it was particularly intentional - guy even talked about being cautious of a pending downturn, but Phil hoped to persuade him to buy anyway. C@ck.

Turned out that our Phil was right all along and prices never fall.... so don't get ideas plebs, buy or else.

Sarah Beeny isn't on any more and had the sense to get out while the going was good.  Her last series was about extending where you are instead of moving. At least she used to get her hands dirty and actually do some work.

I wonder if K&P will be axed soon when the MSM see property as it really is instead of the golden goose and the means to riches.

I used to watch but have become more than bored especially when every house-move is described as difficult and that K&P have their work cut out blah blah......
