Thank you all for your kind words.

Completely back to normal now. Can`t believe it !

Keep up with the miraculous recovery. I worked on a TIA database once upon a time and 'unexpected' recoveries weren't all that uncommon. Seems we are far from knowing everything that goes on up there.

Oddly enough they told my wife I`d be a cabbage for the rest of my life.

Instead I`ve suffered no lasting damage.

Are these incompatible statements? ;)

They said I'd never play the violin again you know.

Anyhow, glad to hear you are back to normal. Are they sure it was a proper stroke and not a TIA?

I was in a hospital for ward 7 weeks. I was first in the trauma ward followed by a `cleaning` ward (during which time our ward was cleaned) and finally in a stroke ward for the last 2 weeks. Then they quickly got rid of me.

The neuro doctors must have made the cockups to end all cockups. Idiots in love with their own egos.

just had another stroke after a 4 year break.

This current stroke has had far fewer effects , memory now much clearer that before (etc.)

All strokes are different so they say !

er...wow.

Do you mean that the second stroke corrected the memory loss from the first stroke?

Well,  having thought about it could well have been a TIA. The ambulance drivers could not find anything  wrong with me so took me in to `be on the safe side`. And then one thing leads to another..

Anyway, I went for a half mile run this morning....felt good.

Also I`m doing meditation (James Doty, meditate on compassion 2 or 3 times a day.) This too seems easy.

Thank you Crash, Turns out, Bruce and all. Much appreciated

Get well soon. Do you take baby aspirin? Aren't they supposed to help decrease the likelihood of having a stroke especially if you have already had one?

Thrombrotic strokes yes. If CD had a haemorraegic stroke I think Asprin is contraindicated.
