Marked as commercial? Weird.

It's been mostly empty since 2010 when the owner of part of it died as far as I can tell, it may have changed hands since but it's a bit run down (hence no interior photos?) It may be e deveoper getting out, I'm not sure. Some days the driveway was full of average cars (builders?) but usually empty.

Oh and it's in Sutton not south Cheam, a bit like Slough is not North Wndsor

? I think the crash is well underway now. It can't be to much longer before it becomes common knowledge.

We can but hope.

I'm keeping an eye on Sheffield city centre (a small bedsit would suit for work). Supply is gradually ramping up - 120-130 in January to 160-170 now, and reductions are almost daily. Sadly only 5-10k at a time, and everything is still 40-50% more than I'd be willing to pay.

I shook my head at this one. Who in their right mind would buy it.

Driven thru that area a couple of times, can't say I'd fancy parking a £500 banger round there never mind having 50k stuck in a slum shanty.

I love this:

"This property is for sale by the Modern Method of Auction which is not to be confused with Traditional auction. The Modern Method of Auction is a flexible buyer friendly method of purchase."

Buyer friendly because it is non-binding?.

The only buyer for this sould be a landlord hoping to let out to Northampton's many Pole, but with Brexit, that market will dry up.

I know a few Polish, the ones who are dedicated to staying in Britain are putting in the hours and getting themselves decent places to live. The market for these ghetto bedsits is the new arrivals or transient heavy drinkers who can just as easily go to Germany etc for the money or go sleep in a park in Marseille for free.

Regardless of what happens in the wider housing market, these slumlords are f**ked big time.

Starting at £700k for that s41thole!!

I wouldn't say it's a s*****e but I would at least expect a parking space for that price plus about £300k off the new asking price.

Its near the river and has a McDonalds and station close by too. It's just crazily overpriced - but I am still amused by the £200k or 30 per cent reduction after such a long time on the market.
