Fretful Mother
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-58094075.html Burglar included? (first pic) That is the funniest thing! Terrible for the poor flat owner. But hilarious! Well spotted.
MattW
Bloody hell! £185k for this 1970s 3 bedroomed ex-council house! http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-59037677.html Even worse is that it's a 'Buy to Let only' purchase with 3 tenants paying a combined £1050 a month. (Council house rent maybe about £325-400 a month)EA is claiming a 6.9% yield. Most expensive house on this close sold for £149k in December. Or is it cross about having a mention in this thread? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-40984992.html It's like the assembly hall of a first school on my old stomping ground (I attended a boring looking school on the estate): https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.6408384,1.3376575,3a,75y,67.2h,88.67t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sfjcz-wFAuVoO5i-27WvFMQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656
Paul77
How to use a gap between 2 houses and try to sell it for the price a proper house? http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-39389667.html My general rule for Reading is that many properties' prices approach reasonable if current asking price is halved. This one is an exception - doesn't look good even at 25% of the asking price.. Sold STC... wow!
Bear Hug
Sold STC... wow! That's just depressing. I estimate it to be ~300 sqft area. Smaller than most 1-bedroom flats.

MattW
2 bedroomed terraced bungalow OIRO £175k. Being a terraced is pretty rare in Norwich. A hell of a lot of work to do there: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-41979138.html This 2 bed bungalow in the same area is semi detached and is for OIEO £160k. Looks less daunting as a project but this is probably still overpriced. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-41079012.html

MattW
1960s timewarp house for £325k. Last house on this road sold for £260k in 2013 (ceiling price on this road), so this museum piece seems horrendously overpriced. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-42804036.html That groovy carpet in pic 6 is giving me a bit of a headache. But I would be tempted to keep that mint humbug themed bathroom in pic 10.

MattW
Not a s**thole but an asking price of £185k for this ex-LA leasehold flat! Similar price to some 3 bedroomed freehold houses. Price inflated on account of no neighbours living underneith, nor is it ajoining another property. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-61431215.html Last sold in 2005 for £100k and in 1999 £36k. Possibly sold by the council via Right To Buy for a lot less prior to 1995.
AvoidDebt
Possibly a winner for this thread. I initially thought that the price was a mistake but it's genuine. It's in Zone 5. Bears no reality to current bubbly prices in same area nor previous sold prices on this street. I can only assume vendor and EA are crack smoking buddies and cooked up the price during one of their sessions. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/s6p/55734001

nome
http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-37867891.html The price might not seem too bad to many of the Londoncentric folk on here but 6 YEARS on the market! A perfect example of kite flying.
Frizzers
Hi all, A quick question as I can't seem to find the answer. The classic overpriced sh*thole thread ... now it's been moved to the classics section I can't seem to add a reply. Does that mean it's now been closed? if so, we should probably start another one. There are plenty of candidates .... and there are bound to be more if we get a BTL exodus
