Has this one been done already ? Apologies if so.

Well, we must be close to the peak of the market and this means that there are going to be some ridiculously overpriced places out there. This is our chance to pick out the places that we will probably looking back on with a certain amount of disbelief.

When I saw what was essentially a trailer in St Albans for £170k (ground rent extra) it did make me laugh. Well....I thought that it would be fun to post the worst ones that you have come across.

Now I don't mean a really small studio flat in Chelsea or anything like that - I was thinking more along the lines of council flats in Peckham for £200k, wooden bungalows in Cardiff for £160k or terrace houses in Moss Side for...well.....any amount really.

To get the ball rolling (and I realise this isn't the best example), here is what is essentially the smallest council flat in North London for £155k. Complete with resident junkies and urine-stained stairwells. Mmmm. Nice.

Go on - I am sure you guys can do better....

If I committed armed robbery Her Majesty would provide me with better accomadtion!

The best shit hole - how about the whole Greater London Area, Manchester and Birmingham. In fact the whole UK!

The nation is mentally retarded for paying these prices for such poor quality.

Over 100K for a shoe box in Merthyr Tydfil the only town to have been awarded viz's tip of the month twice.

You would have to be earning roughly 30K a year to sensibly afford that.

This house is not all that bad, a city trader would buy that with his luncheon voucher!

Only joking. It is in the vally's after all.

£300,000 for this dump right next to the Broadwater Farm Estate. (scene of PC Keith Blakelock's murder)

I just love the kictchen wall paper, it goes so well with the yellow toaster and slaughter house tiles. Surely not even in luny London people would pay 300K for disgusting looking grothole like that!

**** me! I didn't think Foxtons would touch anything at the 155k mark.

I can just see the spotty agent taking that picture whilst some scrote nicked the hub caps off his mini ...

Just to prove there are still affordable home in the UK. See? What are you all moaning bout?

This is a delightful home, cosy, warm cos the neighbours set your house on fire every other night and theres a real close knit feeling in this village cos they all know each others business (like what day your giro comes so they can nick it).

PS I was actually going to buy one of these about four years ago for £4k (no joke thats how much they were) because myself and a few friends thought it would be a good place to hide dead bodies! Joke. No, we thought the council was going to knock it down and build on it a new development, befitting to the golf course they were thinking (or have) of putting there. Meaning they would pay us off a nice amount to buy the land (a lot of the houses round the few streets that make up this area are empty). Wish I had bought it now. it 10x the price it was four years ago.

Sorry to offend anyone who lives/grew up there.

Looks like the kind of place where dogs carry flick knives and junkies snort the white lines off the road.
