Silverfinger
I don't think any CEO could have rescued Yahoo. Same with Blackberry. Isn't Kim K still using a Blackberry?
goldbug9999
That's a good read, an excellent debunk of the long hours cultures that ruin far too many workplaces. Its one of the reasons why I like working in IT, its now generally recognised that working long hours is counter productive and I can count on the fingers of one hand the occasions in the last 10 years or so that I've had to put in extra hours. This is a relatively recent trend though - in the 80 IT/programming jobs were notorious for the long hours expected but thanks to the "agile" movement and the idea of Sustainable Pace that attitude has been moreorless eradicated. StainlessSteelCat
I don't think any CEO could have rescued Yahoo. Same with Blackberry. Agreed. Part of the problem is that I doubt anyone can say what Yahoo actually is or what it stands for. Fingers in a lot of pies for sure - but no unifying reason to exist. Very much the poor relation to Google, Apple and Amazon.
