  1. What a silly post Presumably that outlines one of the methods of rigidly keeping to Kremlin narrative lines...and therefore by the rules of upside-down world that sorry state of affairs must be projected onto the West lol ? Why not spread your wings - Chinese academics for example ? Russia is sure to lose in Ukraine, reckons a Chinese expert on Russia https://www.economist.com/by-invitation/2024/04/11/russia-is-sure-to-lose-in-ukraine-reckons-a-chinese-expert-on-russia
  2. Iran hasn't "drawn a line under the situation". Its waging a proxy war on Israel - which recently resulted in October 7th. Maybe what is really going on here is pressure is being put on that kind of proxy war massacre.
  3. It might seem a scary place but try stepping outside of your propaganda bubble - try different angles and sources of information other than dogmatically repeating Kremlin favourable lines. Maybe train up for it by imagining yourself in other peoples situations In your daily life ? The tragedy of John Mearsheimer How the American realist became the world’s most hated thinker. https://www.newstatesman.com/ideas/2023/09/tragedy-john-mearsheimer
  4. Shaheed drones everywhere. Soon they could be stamping them in the factory with the words "This drone was brought to you by Trumps Republican Party"
  5. Trump wants to Brexit from the world. Putin will be all too happy to help his election.
  6. It looks to me that Iran have several interrelated problems now. They want to be seen as billy big bllcks in the ME - so they have to be seen to retaliate. The implication is that Israel is calling bluff on proxy asymmetry: proxy attacks will now result in Israel retaliating directly. Retaliating directly could mean Irans nuclear program is now under military threat.
  7. Iran don't want all out war - they wouldn't have been attacking Israel through proxies if that were the case.
  8. Ukraine is losing ground albeit very slowly: it basically doesn't have enough ammo because Trump is blocking it. Extraordinary situation where it doesn't have enough bullets to waste the soldiers Putin is happy to waste. That said, yes the picture is a bit more complicated than that. Ukraines strategic strikes have been spectacular - Russias navy hiding in a corner of the Black Sea, and US is getting worried too much of Russias oil is going up in flames. Whether its the best they can do while they wait for supplies or whether theres a bigger strategy at play - or both - is difficult to guess.
  9. Basically the Authoritarians are noble, peace-loving neutral, all seeing, all-conquering, Democracies are psychopathic warmongerers deluded by MSM into decadence. Above all hegemania rules. So long as information fits into that mould, anything goes. Posts don't need to make any sense, and any foundation in reality need only be tangential. The more Palestinians die the better, and Ukrainian deaths must be Somebody Elses Fault because blame-mongering in defence of Authoritaria is a priority. As with any and every country there is a strong amoral component to Chinas relationship with power - I tend to be philosophical about geopolitical matters and I've never had any particular beef with China other than the obvious issues that somebody from a democracy might object to. But this fanatical, reality/logic bending mode of posting together with the unpleasant fact that China is aiding a genocidal invasion in Europe is really making that difficult.
  10. China Providing Geospatial Intelligence to Russia, US Warns https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-04-06/china-is-providing-geospatial-intelligence-to-russia-us-warns?embedded-checkout=true
  11. For crying out loud the hegemaniacs in China are supplying Russia for its war on Europe 'no limits' partnership remember ? 😂 To be generous I think China a bit stuck on which is worse, Russia losing or Russia waging the war in the first place - cheap oil is one thing but large scale instability isn't good for Chinese interests. Which presumably is why you are stuck supporting and fictionalising the reasons for Putins genocidal war: because it looks bad on China in a similar vein to Netenyahu dragging the US through the mud....
  12. Outright lying is just one of the tools employed by Larry Whataboutery to defend Putins actions
  13. I think we're beyond 'vile' sophistry, hypocrisy and fictional history by now ! At the end of the day here you are, an actual somebody happy to bend reality in support of a genocidal war - knowingly, not 'accidentally', not 'just another point of view' but cynically. You're dimly aware that your support does not make any sense whatsoever - especially in the light of the palestinian plight! So... you bullsh1t, barely convincing yourself let alone anybody else. For what exactly ? For China ? Explain to me, how does that 👆 mess actually put China in a good light ?
  14. Exactly So your "vile" hypocrisy underlines a sociopathic indifference to injustice and human suffering, and instead represents a deleriously decadent chinese supremacism.
  15. Some additional visuals and detail: Until now, Kyiv, the most protected air space in Ukraine was able to stop much of the incoming Russian missiles. That's no longer the case. With air defenses exhausted, Russians finally able to do what they want. Thermal power plant along the river in Kyiv at 4am pic.twitter.com/YGTBqjJIrc — Jay in Kyiv (@JayinKyiv) April 11, 2024 🇺🇦🇷🇺 Massive strike on Ukraine’s energy system during the night! Power interruptions in regions: Kiev, Kharkov Odessa. At first “geraniums” drones went into action, which, in addition to identifying current targets among the remaining Ukranian air defense systems, struck… pic.twitter.com/hTvyGVImWL The Financial Times article includes much rending of hair and garments over the failure of the US to approve additional Ukraine, which is depicted as contributing to Ukraine’s inability to defend itself. But as many commentators have pointed out, money won’t magic weapons or trained men into existence. It would take well over a year to produce the needed armaments, even before getting to the wee problem of competing demand (Israel and Europe restocking). Helmer included later in his early April post: An unofficial Moscow source comments: “For the time being, the campaign is likely to leave enough lights on in Lvov to lure the displaced easterners there, and generate all sorts of communal friction. The westward process will repeat itself until Lvov and other border areas are huge refugee camps facing a bunch of nervous Poles, Romanians, Moldovans, etc. We’ll see what happens to Euro solidarity then.” Sad. Presumably you're over on the genocide squad thread salivating for the demise of the Palestinians too ?
  16. Before the war I remember reading that Putin was genuinely worried about Russian demographics. During the war I seem to remember somebody even offered it as a rationale for kidnapping Ukranian children (sorry no link). Makes it all the weirder they are now approaching half a million casualties.
  17. Russia now asking Kazakstan and Belarus for fuel supplies Exclusive: Russia seeks gasoline from Kazakhstan in case of shortages, sources say https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/russia-seeks-gasoline-kazakhstan-case-shortages-sources-say-2024-04-08/#:~:text=MOSCOW%2C April 8 (Reuters),Russia has already been agreed.
  18. At the moment we are our own worst enemy. But Russias dangerousness is increasing as its becoming battle hardened through fighting Ukraine and getting used to blitzing its way through atrocity after atrocity. Perhaps more seriously the entire state is being changed into a war machine whipped by fantasy propaganda. Very difficult to see that stopping after this war...
  19. So then apparently Russia is using banned chemical weapons. Maybe its a bit "ah well, add it to the list of crimes", still pretty disgusting all the same. https://www.yahoo.com/news/russia-using-chemical-weapons-against-115611675.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAJ0R7CFQzyCb_iDtdT-YOUPxhY1UjYf0HLbCkDNw--L-fKQYzQ6Inom1WY1-NRRT4E6Z5XUOov_KizF8vzK9zJCn1f4ilAdTGxSdRfLGNkGo5-YEb5K0iE6fXwK3-gZ4rqXInkKNnSVtyyMOXaldLXe2MWdAi_ZiFKVVWLomncEx
  20. Tbh as I've mentioned before, I tend to see the misdirection as a massive alarm bell as to what Russia is up to. Had some fun looking at the "Merkel Started the War" rabbit hole - some interesting history around that. One nugget is the "Surkov Leaks", I'm a bit wary of that kind of stuff not least because it tends to be the modus operandi our resident Putinists ! But its a good debating agenda for understanding the context of Minsk with wrt Russias intent - essentially engaged in a hybrid war to conquer Ukraine : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surkov_leaks
  21. How strangely easy it is for you people to ignore Ukraines sovereignty... Could that be the reason why you ended up at war in the first place ?
  22. Awww there there... Worth pointing out here authoritarians, from petty to monstrous, only seem to have two basic modes, tantrums or fantasy, violence or lies. Maybe philosophically thats one basic mode but in any case there is zero room for debate in good faith...
  23. Lol...so he didn't and your clown show rewrite attempt gets rejected for the 1000th time Back to this rubbish: 1. BJ started the war 2. Merkel Started the war 3. Nuland started the war 4. Somebody anybody except Russia started the war 5. I know, the Republicans started the war by helping Russia In other news, after breaking down a wall and taking over a room, psycho stalker threatens to beat the cr4p out of his neighbour if she moves house, then blames neighbours and the police for getting involved and provoking violence.
